He is the Founder and CEO of Sekant Security, a company focused on securing business browsing through embedded runtime intelligence. A builder at heart, Rishi has dedicated his career to transforming deep technical ideas into impactful real-world products and security solutions.
He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) from the University of California, Berkeley. His strong academic foundation in engineering and computer systems has shaped his approach to solving complex technology and cybersecurity challenges.
Rishi began his professional journey at McKinsey & Company, where he spent over 4.5 years advising global high-tech companies on strategy, innovation, and technology transformation. While working closely with industry leaders, he developed a deeper interest in building products rather than only advising on them, which led him to transition into product management.
Following this shift, Rishi went on to lead product teams at several prominent cybersecurity companies, including Tanium, Authentic8, and Uptycs. In these roles, he worked on developing and scaling advanced security platforms designed to protect enterprises from modern cyber threats.
Driven by his passion for building innovative security solutions, Rishi founded Sekant Security. At Sekant, he is focused on embedding runtime intelligence directly into web browsers to proactively protect users and organizations from modern online threats such as phishing attacks, ClickFix exploits, unsafe downloads, shadow AI usage, and other emerging security risks.
Through Sekant Security, Rishi aims to redefine how organizations approach browser security by creating technology that actively monitors and protects user activity in real time, helping businesses de-risk their browsing environments and strengthen their overall cybersecurity posture.
